Friday mornings, April through October, with a start time of 8:00 to 8:30, depending on the season. This is a group for all skill levels, and we encourage you to join us. If you wish to compete for prizes, a handicap is required, or you can just play for fun. League participation fee is $45. Non-contract players pay 9-hole daily golf fees.

Tuesdays, starting time is 9:00 in the spring and fall, and 8:30 in the summer. Open to players of all skill levels. A USGA handicap is required. Games are played for prizes and end-of-the-year awards are presented. There is also the opportunity for inter-club play. League participation fee is $40. Non-contract players pay 18-hole daily golf fees.

This league is ideal for working women or anyone who prefers a late afternoon tee time. Starting at 5:00 or 5:30, depending on daylight hours, we play 9 holes in a friendly, relaxed environment. You can choose to play your own ball or a Captain's Choice format. League participation is free. Non-contract players pay 9-hole twilight golf fees.

Play the front 9 with the Pink Flamingos! This league is ideal for women who are beginners or have been away from golf for a while and want to get back to playing the game. We also welcome women who just want to come out and enjoy a friendly game in a Captain’s Choice format. Keeping score is optional. We play 9 holes on Wednesdays, starting at 11am. League participation is free. Non-contract players pay 9-hole daily golf fees.

GRAY FOXES APPLICATION

The Monday Night Golf League will begin play on April 8 at 4PM. Join your neighbors for 9 holes of fun and sociability. Couples and single players, male or female, any skill level---all are welcome.

Captain’s Choice is the format. The cost is $5.00 per couple or $3 per person each week (plus normal golf fees if you do not have a contract). These amounts will be collected each week. Prizes are awarded each week in the form of Pro Shop credits. If you have not played in this league before, send an e-mail to mmarshall@lakemonticellogolf.org with your e-mail address and phone number included. Sign-ups are made each week via a Golf Genius poll, which will be sent to the e-mail address you provide. If you are new to the Lake, or know someone who is, this is a good way to get acquainted with a great group of people.

The Wednesday Evening League plays each Wednesday in two 10-week sessions between mid- April and mid-September. Play begins with a 5:00pm shotgun in the beginning end of the league season. In the middle of the season 5:30 pm shotgun. League participation fee is $25 per session which is used for the end-of-session awards. The league is open to male and female golfers 18 and older. Players are required to have a USGA handicap. An annual LMOA Golf Contract is not required. Non-contract players are responsible for all daily golf fees applicable for the round.

Format is a 2-person team Stableford net better ball. Sign up as a team or place your name on a singles list to be partnered with another single. On each hole the better net score is used to assign the Stableford points for the team. Awards are for first, second and third place teams for the session and weekly closest to the pin.

The Lake Monticello Senior Men’s Travel Team consists of men 55 and older who are annual greens contract holders at Lake Monticello. The team plays interclub matches against other Central Virginia clubs from May through October.

We play home and away better ball matches with clubs within an hour drive, namely, Birdwood, Farmington, Glenmore, Orchard Creek, Richmond Country Club, Stoney Creek and The Dominion Club. Our home matches are held on Thursdays and run concurrently with the Gray Foxes events. Away matches are held on Tuesdays - Thursdays. The annual league fee is $5 but we also pay $25-$30 for home matches, and $45-$50 for away matches. Those additional fees cover lunch at our club and lunch and cart fees at the other host clubs. Depending on the club, we normally need 16 to 24 players to “suit up” for a match – we will maintain balance so that everyone gets a fair amount of play.

We always “look good” for play with matching team shirts that include the famous Lake Monticello logo. Registration for the team is in late winter, but we remain open to new arrivals throughout the season.
